The moments of my inspiration, the elusive abstract and the symmetrical composure, the complexity and the simplicity of it all resonate in my spirit, in my chest and in my guitar. Ethereal energy converting into a wave in the physical plane.
Silence becomes the noise
and tunes itself to the moments that intersect reality between the light and the dark, mesmerizing, hypnotizing, until it forms on the paper the words transform beneath the chords and the chorus rings out as it manifests through me into being.
The outward look, the inward look coalescing, entwined in a cacophony of strings tightened that ring in harmony and in dissonance drawing in the tides that ebb and flow in the vortex; the spinning whirlpool of the soul that is reflected in and of the world.
Self taught guitar mostly except for a few lessons at the Charlie Parker Foundation KC. under Hurley Dennis and some tips along the way from my dad and his friends. Picked up the guitar late in life and joined a punk rock band, 5th Column in SF, proceeded to form bands throughout the next 10+ years. During this time I tried my hand at the local club/bar scene and then finally dropped out...
but I never stopped making music. I just changed trajectories.
Now with modern tech I started recording again and these are my renditions past and present.
